20.2 Phenomenon
First, distinguish the two situations, the troubleshooting path is different:
Case A: Deck truly jammed: the deck cannot move up/down at all (long-press + / − produces no movement, motor stalled, abnormal noise).
Case B: Deck moves normally but E7 still reports: the deck raises and lowers correctly, yet the E7 code appears.
20.3 Possible Reasons
- Structural jamming: Foreign matter stuck in the lifting mechanism, and structural jamming occurs almost inevitably
- False positive issue in the software has been fixed in V2.1.50.1 (official release on 2026-08-25).
- Related component cause:
- Omni wheel related issues: the omni wheel connecting rod is deformed; the small lift motor (which controls the retraction and extension of the omni wheel) malfunctions, causing the omni wheel to fail to retract.
- Foreign object on the support arm: A foreign object is stuck on the exterior of the support arm that connects the vehicle body and the cutter head
- Drive/Power Supply Fault: No drive current in the motor after the instruction is issued
- Encoder damaged
- hardware damage
• For Case A, causes:
- foreign object in the lift mechanism;
- deformed omni-wheel connecting rod;
- foreign object on the support arm;
- drive/power-supply fault (no current after the command);
- encoder damage;
- hardware damage.
• For Case B, causes: This may be a software false-positive issue. Please contact Lymow Support to confirm the problem and check whether the current firmware version is later than V2.1.50.1.
Note: this fix addresses ONE known false-positive case only. It does NOT mean every E7 on firmware ≥ V2.1.50.1 is automatically a mechanical jam. And an E7 error still appearing after this firmware may still be hardware. Please use the following troubleshooting steps and report the test results to Lymow Support.
20.4 Troubleshooting Steps
- Remove debris around the motor and retry
-
Related component troubleshooting:
- Verify that the omni wheels are functioning properly
- Check the fixing screws and clips of the cutter head support arm
Check if it is loose here
Slide this clip down to see if it can be moved.
- Press and hold the "+" key to check if the deck module can be raised to the maximum position.
- In case of occasional anomalies, please upload the log and video.
-
Notes on Log Upload:
- Focus on recording the changes of the three parameters (CTRL, current, limit) during the long press:
- Make sure all the above operations are completed before uploading the logs
E7 Troubleshooting Procedure:
1.Long press the + and - buttons to confirm if the deck module can raise and lower normally.
2.With the machine in a safe position and hands clear of all moving parts, press and hold the STOP button to enter ESTOP Status, then long press the “+” and “−” buttons simultaneously on the mower panel, then select 7.Motion Ctrl. (use the - button to page down and select “7. Motion Ctrl.) To enter Service Mode,
3.Select “BigLift CTRL” and press the HOME button to confirm. Keep clear of the lifting mechanism while the powered test is running.
4.Start recording a video of the LCD screen, showing the parameter values while performing the following steps: long press - for 10 seconds and then long press + for 10 seconds. Stop immediately if the mechanism moves unexpectedly, makes abnormal noise.
PS: You need to clearly record videos of parameters 1, 2, and 3 while long pressing the + and - buttons.
Note: With the deck energized in service mode, the lift arm / lift screw / cutter blade may move when you long-press + / −.
Keep hands, and tools AWAY from all moving parts at all times.
