11.2 Phenomenon
- Wi-Fi connection failed. Please check your Wi-Fi name and password, then try again.
This prompt indicates that the device fails to connect to the router, which is generally related to the password, Wi-Fi encryption method and Wi-Fi signal strength.
- Wi-Fi connection timeout. Please check your network and try again.
This prompt indicates that the router has not assigned an IP address to the device.
- The binding process takes more than 10 minutes
11.3 Possible Reasons
-
Network issues
To deliver a better user experience, most modern mesh routers combine the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands into a single Wi-Fi name (SSID), allowing devices to automatically select which band to connect to.
Some early firmware versions do not support Mesh WiFi, which manifests as follows: normal routers work properly, but binding fails in a Mesh environment.
-
System Settings Issue
Some devices are factory-configured to prioritize 4G, but if 4G is not activated during the binding process, the WiFi will already be connected while the 4G fails to access the internet.
-
Cloud connection timed out
Error prompt: Unable to connect to the cloud
11.4 Troubleshooting Steps
Please create and use a separate 2.4G WiFi band or use your mobile hotspot
11.5 Solutions
- Rebind after upgrading to the latest firmware via the 4G channel; users need to create a separate 2.4G WiFi band for the Mesh network.
