Out of Bounds/Entering Restricted Area E20
1. Phenomenon:
The mower was found outside the boundary, within the restricted area, and has generated corresponding error messages (such as E20) .
2. Reason:
Crossing the boundary or entering the restricted area is most likely caused by RTK errors, with 5 possible scenarios:
a. RTK base station position difference / lawn mower position difference / RTK was accurate during mapping, but there were obstructions during subsequent use
b. During mapping, the RTK scenario in some areas is poor, resulting in the map boundary not matching the expectation and subsequent out-of-bounds issues during normal use
c. The distance between the base station and the lawn mower is too far (more than 100-200 meters), or the RTK signal is unstable due to the obstruction of thick buildings
d. RTK or navigation-related bugs
For all RTK-related issues, it is best to have screenshots from the RTK Diagnostic page.
3. Main Link Troubleshooting:
a. Check if there are any obvious obstructions above the RTK base station location, the mower's working area and the RTK Diagnostic
b. Rebuild the map
4. Troubleshooting Steps:
a. RTK performance may degrade when the mower is obstructed, but the mower has a certain self-sustaining capability. Below are some suggestions for RTK installation and map settings. For example:
- Provide photos of the RTK installation location and the mower's working area. We recommend adjusting the RTK base station to a location that is as open as possible with no obstructions around it.
- Map setting suggestion: divide the obstructed area into multiple sub-zones, so that each time the mower enters, it only stays in the obstructed area for a short period, avoiding excessive accuracy errors.
b. If you find that the actual machine location does not match the map created in the APP, you need to delete and recreate the map. Delete this map and create a new one.
